Summary: Refreshing songstress Stacey Kent can be described as a diva of the new generation of jazz musicians. Her charm and her velvet voice have earned her unanimous praise in the international press. With influences from jazz, blues, and gospel standard American jazz classics are infused with a breath of fresh air. With her quartet, Ms. Kent revisits the Great American Song Book. She also presents new songs, with texts taken from some of her favorite authors, such as Kazuo Ishiguro and Breakfast on the Morning Tram (2007). |
