Summary: A mythical address in Paris
Founded at the beginning of the 3rd Republic, Cafe de Flore probably took its name from a sculpture of a goddess that could be found across the street. This place has witnessed great moments in litterature and cinema; surrealists used to frequent the cafe and zazous also, before the directors of New Wave cinema started hanging out. Today, celebrities still drop in, and not only in the evenings when the cafe hands out its Literary prize. |
