Summary: Masterworks.
This is an opportunity for art-enthusiasts to admire a number of masterworks of the famed Borghèse collection. The display space in the Louvre's Greek, Etruscan and Antiques department was set up as a reconstitution of the beautiful Borghèse villa.
It was in 1807 that Napoleon acquired the collection from his brother-in-law, Camille Borghèse - at the time it was considered one of the most prestigious and admirable collections in Rome.
