Thanks to a significant amount of support by sponsors and associate organisers, this festival really has the backing to satisfy the public.
Dance, opera, plastic arts, literature, cinema, music and theatre - the Festival d'automne has it all.
Started in 1972 by Michel Guy, the Paris Autumn Festival is dedicated to contemporary arts. Stretched out over three months, the festival's mission statement has four pillars: getting new acts and culture into France; getting contracts for emerging artists; trying experimental art forms and projects; and getting to know cultures from outside French borders.
This is one of the most significant festivals in the whole of Europe and should not be missed. |
