Le château des Ducs de Bretagne
The construction of the castle began in 1466 on order from the duke from Brittany François II, last duke of independent Brittany, to become the place of residence of the Breton court. The castle saw the marriage of Louis XII with Anne of Brittany in 1499, the fastening of Brittany to the royal field in 1532 and the development (even the signature) of the edict of Nantes per Henri IV in 1598. The Town of Nantes, became owner into 1915 of this castle.
