Every year the crème of music industry professionals get together in Cannes for the MIDEM, which is simply one of the biggest events in the business. Expect to see producers, record labels, associations, institutions, performers, and just about everyone under the sun working in the music industry.

CDs, records, samples, Mp3s, concerts, performances, televised performances, internet and mobile phone products... The MIDEM is dedicated to promoting music from the top downwards; it all begins here as all participants work together to detect the trends and fads of tomorrow.

Aside the stands and exhibitions, there will be a number of free concerts and all styles of musicians being showcased. This is the place to discover the new stars you haven't yet seen on MTV, to learn about the more obscure aspects of the industry, and to make a name for one's self.

The MIDEM represents 10 000 participants, 4 000 companies from 88 different countries, but also 500 journalists from 400 different media companies...
