Geographicaly, the hotel is at the heart of Marseille city centre , not far from the "Noailles" area which is the centre point of the diverse cultures which for 26 centuries have made Marseille renowned. No more than 50 metres from the hotel, there is the famous Canebiere and 300 metres further on is the Old port, symbolic image of marseille, around which are all the attractions of the city, and equally well known "ferry boat" and renowned fish market.
The building is of the period of Napoleon the First (after his return from Egypt) and has an ornamented facade surmounted by a fronton which is listed.

The inside has been renovated and modernised by traditional techniques in the mediterranean spirit, humble and warm, lime wash and terracota tile floors. The majority of ceilings reach a height of about 3,50 metres. It is a typical Marseillaise building of the period. Of course, there is a lift...
Our establishment doesn't owe it's name to the king who gave justice under an oak, but to his cousin well appreciated by the marseillais, Louis of Anjou, bishop of Toulouse.

The Recollettes street owes it's name to a religious franciscan congregation, the recollets, dedicated to "recollection" which means action of meditation and prayer.

We have at your disposal 22 bedrooms:

The front rooms with an iron balcony, for a stay connected to the city life, opening onto Cour St Louis henceforth only available for bus and taxi, Aubagne street and the south part of the Récollettes street are half pedestrianised, .

Those on the rear side open up to a serene view of inside courtyards and roman style roofs. A perfect atmosphere for quiet work. It is only rooms with a double bed.
