Grimaldi Castle becomes "Picasso Museum" December 27, 1966. Picasso stayed there from mid-September to mid-November 1946, it carries many works and leave 23 paintings and 44 drawings on deposit at the town of Antibes. Various donations and purchases from 1952 to today, deposits from the gift of Jacqueline Picasso in 1990, significantly enrich the collection of the Picasso Museum.

Works of Nicolas de Staël, Hans Hartung, Anna-Eva Bergman and important artists of the twentieth century are presented. A remarkable collection of sculptures by Germaine Richier and works by Miró.
