The ski area, located between 1650 and 2750 meters high , offers 185 km of slopes, 1100 m elevation, 113 slopes and 57 ski lifts on four sides. Modern lifts with high-performance, with facilities that have helped to reduce the waiting time at the bottom of the ski resort.
It is one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Southern Alps and has the brightness of a Mediterranean climate . The dry and cold climate keeps the quality of the snow cover. As for snowfall, short and heavy, they give way to clear and blue skies . It is an extraordinary combination between Mediterranean sun and snow in high altitude ski resorts.
The area has a large artificial snow system and offers slopes suitable for all. The Foret Blanche ski area is ideal for beginners, families as well as confimed skiers. It makes it the ideal place to practice skiing. Risoul is dotted with larch forests, while Vars has more slopes without trees. Free riders' paradise, the White Forest ski area is popular for its off-piste virgin slopes only accessible to trained and experienced skiers.
The area also offers the famous KL, officialy recognized speed skiing slope to thrill advanced-level skiers, a slope for night skiing, quality snow parks, luge areas, kindergarten (or beginners' area), a viewpoint (at 2273 m above sea level), a natural ice rink, and 35 km of snowshoe trails for pedestrian.
