House La Caussade is a traditional Gascon farmhouse. The main part of the structure was built in 1798 but there are sections which predate that. The original features -- such as vast stone fireplaces, oak beamed ceilings, colombage walls, cut stone windows, red clay floor tiles – have been preserved over 200 years.
Traditional building materials and techniques (lime washed walls, walnut parquet flooring, wood panelling, etc.) were used in restoration to preserve the authenticity and old charm of the house.
