Description
The Château de Pizay sits in a 75-hectare forest and a 80-hectare vineyard in the Beaujolais region. Dating back from the 11th century, its 4-star rooms and suites overlook the French-style garden, outdoor, heated swimming pool, vineyard or castle.
At Chateau de Pizay, guest accommodation is fitted with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi internet access and air-conditioning. Some rooms are near the swimming pool, while others are near the French garden.
The Chateau de Pizay is known for its award winning Spa that has an area of 1000m². It features multisensory treatments, hydrotherapy, sauna and hamman and a variety of massage and wellness treatments.
Also, the chateau has a gourmet restaurant that serves seasonal menus based on fresh local market produce. Meals are accompanied by fine wines produced on site or from its bi-centennial wine cellar. Just 45 minutes from Lyon, the chateau is 1h30 away from Paris by TGV. |
Information
The spa features 7 enhancing cabins including 2 Duo VIP ones. It offers an extensive range of cares and treatments using Terraké and Vinea products.
There are also a hydrotherapeutic recreational pool fitted with ultramodern equipments, and multusensorial and relaxation areas.
The spa is available to all, including non-residents. Reservations are mandatory, and access is at an additional cost.
There are 2 car parks; one in the outside courtyard with 160 spaces, and one in the inside courtyard with 70 spaces. |
Restaurants
The gourmet restaurant welcomes you in several private rooms, and the chef serves seasonal menus based on fresh local market produce.
In the summer time, you can have your meal in the lovely courtyard.
Wine tasting sessions are conducted by an oenologist in a 19th century vaulted cellar decorated with wine barrels.

These air-conditioned double rooms are located outside of the main building and have a private bathroom equipped with bathrobes, slippers and free toiletries. Each room has either a furnished balcony or terrace, a safe, a minibar and free WiFi access.
