The town owes its name to the Diamond to the famous rock of the same name, which emerges from the waves 2 km from the coast.
Occupied by the British for 17 months during the Napoleonic era, it is now the sanctuary for many birds.

You are 800 m from the largest beach in Martinique: The Great Diamond Cove. In the village (a distance of about 500m) you will find some shops, banks and a small colorful market.
