The Bird Park is located in Ain, near the city of Lyon. It is the largest bird park in France and one of the largest in Europe.
The Bird Park is home to a large number of birds from many different species. Coupled with the fact that it creates pens and aviaries adapted to birds lifestyles, the park has a great richness.

This is a very large park, where animals are raised by areas representing regions of the world, and where the birds are associated according to many criteria but also for their ability to mingle and their need of space. They are chosen to represent the widest variety of species, behaviors, faces and colors possible.

The park also has a vocation of species conservatory. Since its opening, the park has brought a wide variety of species, and today, when many species disappear from the wild, the park protects them and tries to make them reproduce. To be active in the protection of species, the park is a member of programs to exchange knowledge, expertise and animals. It is also one of the founding members of the CEPA (Association for Conservation of Species and Animals) which aims to protect species which have become very rare in nature.

The Bird Park is fully accessible to children. Playgrounds on the theme of birds have been specially equipped to enable them to enjoy themselves. An edutainment game, "Suivez le fil", which consists of a set of questions and answers on different parts of the park, is available to all children (two different programs depending on age). This game is on sale at the reception and at the shop in the park, and costs €3.5 per child.

Original animations and events are held throughout the year in the park. You can participate in courses and photo contests, you can listen to concerts, watch exhibitions ...To have more information on the 2011 program, visit the website Bird Park.
