Cagnes-sur-Mer : Cagnes-sur-Mer Tourism

Construite au XIVe siècle, en dehors des remparts du bourg du haut de Cagnes, la Chapelle comprenait une abside et une nef qui servait de refuge aux pèlerins. Elle est classée monument historique depuis 1939. Accessible par la montée du Château, la chapelle est de style italianisant, on dit qu’elle aurait inspiré Renoir. Elle renferme une nef ornée en totalité de peintures assez bien conservées ainsi qu’une abside décorée de fresques du XVIe siècle par Andrea de Cella sur laquelle on peut apprécier les Évangélistes, Jésus et la Vierge.
