Description
Cascade d'Ars is a jewel of nature, both for its beauty and its size. It measures 110 meters high, and is divided into three levels. The beauty of this cascade peaks in spring, especially when the ice melts, when the power of water is at its maximum.
The cascade of Ars is in the Pyrenees, in the heart of the Ars valley. This valley has long been one of the paths used by the inhabitants of Aulus-les-Bains to reach Spain.
In the nineteenth century, mountaineer Henry Russell, a pioneer in the Pyrenees, considered it was the most beautiful waterfall in the Pyrenees.
However, you have to win this gift of nature. You will need to walk for more than 1:30h before having the first glimpse of it. It is visible only at the end of the hike. The walk mostly runs in the woods.
