Unique au monde, ce musée possède la plus grande collection d’espèces de mollusque et de coquillages de Méditerranée.
C'est au total plus de 4000 coquillages venus des mer du monde entier qui sont présentés au public. Des plus petits mesurant 1 dixième de millimètre au plus grand faisant plus d'1,70 mètres!

Ce musée est né de la passion Jean-Pierre Sidois, le directeur bénévole de SOS Grand Bleu et passionné de coquillages. Il est aujourd’hui le conservateur du musée.
