Facing the Mediterranean, just before the beach Graniers at the foot of the Citadel, the marine cemetery offers a beautiful panorama of the surroundings. It mainly offers a moment of serenity and contemplation. It is constructed in 1815 and will see more expansion in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The cemetery promises a very special ballad with the visit the graves of iconic figures in art, politics and the marine world of centuries past. One can find among others, Roger Vadim, Pierre Bachelet and painter Du Noyer de Segonzac.
