Description

Mayenne's castle was enlarged in the 19th century during the period prison. These rooms, located in the south, have little architectural interest. It was therefore decided to make the project consistent, install the museum rooms in these areas and treat the archaeological halls by audiovisual enhancement.


The museum project is using every means available to make visits more vivid and can facilitate the understanding of the site: audio guides, audio-visual entertainment, interactive kiosks, touch models ...

From October 1 to March 31: 9 am -12 pm 30 / 14 am -17 pm

From April 1 to September 30 (except July / August: 9 am -18 pm)

From 1 July to 31 August: 10 am - 19 pm
