La présentation de l'histoire locale s'articule autour de la maquette de la ville. La présentation des faïences de Parthenay met en valeur les ateliers prestigieux de Prosper Jouneau, d'Henri Amirault, Clémentine Emoneau et Edouard Knoepflin. Le fonds photographique d'Eugène Cordier offre un choix très vivant de scènes de la vie quotidienne à Parthenay et en Gâtine au début du siècle
