Créé sous l'impulsion de l'Association des Amis de Camille Pissarro, fondée en 1975. Installé dans un bâtiment situé à l'emplacement de l'ancien château de Pontoise, sur les remparts, inauguré le 22 novembre 1980.

Main interests - Musée pissarro

Collection de gravures et de dessins de Camille Pissarro (1830 - 1903), mais une seule toile de l'artiste. Oeuvres, "Péniches", vers 1864, huile sur toile ci-dessus présentée. Politique d'expositions temporaires consacrées aux nombreux artistes impressionnistes ayant travaillé sur les bords de l'Oise sur la peinture du paysage du XIXème siècle ou ayant été liés à Camille Pissarro. Oeuvres de Signac, Monet, Hayet, Daubigny, Caillebotte.
