LE VILLAGE PERCHE DE PIERLAS.Par la D428 au sud de Beuil, quitter la D28 au Pra d’Astier. La route de montagne monte à travers les éboulis et les cascades. Au village, visiter la chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Carmel, ancienne chapelle fortifiée dont les murs ont 80 centimètres d’épaisseur. L’église Saint-Sylvestre semble se confondre avec la roche. Elle renferme des tableaux des XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles. Le clocher est doté d’un escalier intérieur qui permet d’accéder au sommet pour admirer la vue. Quelques vestiges du mur fortifié du village subsistent, des embases de tours, des contreforts.
