The Galibier-Thabor ski area is 1600 skiable ha and 150 km of marked slopes, which cover two summits and four sides divided between 1400 and 2600 meters high. 70% of the ski area are above 2000 meters high. The area takes its name from two 3000 meters high iconic peaks overlooking the two ski resorts, and offer breathtaking views of the valley of the Maurienne, the Vanoise, the Meije and the Barre des Ecrins, the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Galibier and all other surrounding peaks.
86 slopes for all levels can be enjoyed in the Gros Crey, Crey du Quart and Setaz massifs. They start from the village, 1500 meters high or 1800 meters high and go up to 2600m above sea level. The majority of the slopes are for intermediate skiers (red and blue runs). The Galibier-Thabor area provides to enthusiasts freestyle a terrain park classified among the bests in France, with all kinds of rails, jumps and an approved halfpipe.
Both ski resorts are complementary. Located in a natural setting, Valmeinier 1500 is an authentic village resort, to enjoy with your family and Valmeinier 1800 is a modern ski resort with direct access to the slopes. Valloire is an authentic alpine village, built around its 17th century baroque church, which has retained its Savoyard atmosphere.
