The Museum of Fine Arts is also well worth a visit. It contains permanent collections of the highest quality, which make this museum one of the most famous of France.

The city of Lille has a pleasant green space where you can stroll during sunny days. The larger is the "Bois de Boulogne" which includes a zoo and an amusement park for children. On the other side of the Deûle river is the Vauban Garden which is a fine example of an English garden.
