The city of Soustons
Soustons is a French commune located in the department of Landes, in the Aquitaine region. Small town of 7000 inhabitants, Soustons is full of tourist attractions, in the heart of the Landes forest, on the shores of Lake Marensin. There is also a resort on the Silver Coast called : Port d'Albret. The latter has the peculiarity of being located on two towns : Soustons and Vieux-Boucan-les-Bains. Thus Soustons-beach was formed, between the Atlantic Ocean and the lake.

Soustons-Plage also hosts one of the most traveled routes in Europe : the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela. Taking an ancient route linking Soulac to Bayonne, it has a unique cultural cachet. The town houses a museum of traditions and old tools within the Pandelle castle. It was opened in July 1999 and is adorned with exposure of 950 museum pieces and 300 tools. Thanks to many volunteers, these objects emerged from the past are the symbols of the history of the town.
The well-stocked summer markets, in Soustons and the surrounding area, fully inform you on the quality of local products and local cuisine. For example, the Darrigade farm will offer seed corn, carrots, duck confit and asparagus from the Landes sand. Wine sands is also worthy of interest in the Landes area, renowned for its foie gras! The Tulip Festival and the Fête de Soustons, which last five days, are events not to be missed in this city.
