The « palais de la decouverte » was created in 1937 during the International Exhibition of Arts and Technique. It occupies the West part of the “Grand Palais”. It became so popular that it had been attached to the ministry of superior Education and Research.
The “Palais de la Decouverte” is directed by scientists. Its aim is to diffuse environmental knowledge by experimenting scientific Laws as electrostatics, radioactivity, chemistry… the visitor learns by participating into experiments the scientists lead.
